This program was canceled years ago. But they still keep them around for shock and awe.

I think what we'll see is that most of the technical improvements developed in the Comanche "mules" will be incorporated into subsequent revisions of the current inventory. Best bang-for-the-buck in lean times.

There is not much that the Comanche can do that the Apache cannot, Aside from stealth and sideways flying, the Comanche is only about 10MPh faster than the Apache the night systems are close to identical, both can select multiple targets in seconds The Comanche has a lower turn radius, but the Apache has to ability to turn the 30mm gun directly where the pilot is looking. The Apache also has a higher armor class (not quite as high as the blackhawk) But too little was gained from a new platfor

@happyman21789 The new stealth blackhawk features similar designs

Wasnt the Comanche suppose to replace the Apache?

the reason why it was cancelled was because it just cost to much. but im sure we'll see it soon in the near future.I mean it is the most advanced chopper out the now just wait till our country debt is lifted a bit.

just because the government "said" it was canceled, doesnt mean it was ......this could very well be used in classified projects...

@WorldOfHurt101 Yes, but its still an awesome machine!

  16. Jul 8, 2011 at 10:26 PM by IRONSEAN7

@WorldOfHurt101 yes the commanche was cancelled, but i also heard that a lot of the technology used in the commanche was adapted in to the choppers used in the Bin laden raid. yes, i know that they are totally different types of chopper, and i could totally be wrong about this, its just what i heard, so for the know it alls, dont jump down my throat

@YOWHATTHEHELLUP71 not only too expensive: combat helicopters have a cruise height which is under the radar anyway. And combinating stealth abilities with heavy armor is also very comlicated. Oh and Bush needed the money for his war in Iraq

WTF? WHY DO WE KEEP CANCELIN STUFF LIKE THIS? IT WILL HELP US IN WW3 if there is one
