@blackhawk438 None, the Marines don't fly Longbows. HOWEVER, they do fly the AH-1W and AH-1Z Cobras and those are just as nice. As far as flying one, you've gotta have a college degree for I believe the Marine Corps doesn't have a warrant officer division.

@Hbryant188 What are the odds of someone joining the marines and getting to fly the Longbows? I mean you obviously train to fly them specially not everyone gets to but what are the chances?

Doesn't take shit to fly these things or any helicopter in general with advanced avionics. Basic and intermediate rotary-wing training is the hardest part. The onboard computers do the rest of the work as far as IFF, calculating fuel, navigation etc.. The only reason why people still use E6-B's is for good analog backup. I respect the guys who do it though, helicopters are bullet sponges. Hooah.

@lolzor523 both are trained in pilot - and gunner, but yer you do specialize... i'm applying for the british army next year as an officer, army air corps, hoping to fly the longbow :D

@raulrusboy Sounds like Rucker hasn't changed. There was a LT in my class that made some statements in the briefing rooms that turned everyones heads.
