@KPdbg997 It makes sense. It may also reduce the time of the turboshaft and blades sound arrival as being as close to the ground. But, there is another video on youtube taken from an AH-64, where, to acquire the target easier for the 'Hellfire', the crew flew much higher and close enough to the ass bags to stay within range of the missile. And this band of idiots don't move, staying here to put their bomb on the road ! Then at such a distance a turboshaft can be perfectly heard.

I do not post my opinion here, and indirectly, without a partner in front of me and just out of respect for those who fight and who lost their lives in these interventions.
But someone could explain to me why the Apache crews maintain a flight level so close to the ground ? Is it to escape the MANPADS and RPGs ? It shurely put them well within range of small arms.
