@MrIndianRebel Al Qaeda and the Taliban created themselves. In other words, we all have a choice to make good or evil. They chose evil. As for the U.S. attacking the Taliban. We actually armed the Taliban and assisted them in pushing the Soviets out of their country. Then, they stab us in the back by allowing Al Qaeda to attack us. The fact is that the U.S. military does not do enough to ensure the stability or recovery of its troops, nor does it act selectively enough in deciding who to let in, but more importantly, who to keep out. The UK, Germany, Sweden, etc., have excellent troops that are held to much higher ethical standards of behavior, and it shows. Does it make troops from Europe less efficient because they aren't killers from birth? No.

They are a special 1.3% of the population that are awsome and make the best family members most of the time. Its a small percentage that have issues.

@3rdID8487 That's my issue with it. Soldiers are people first, killers second. When the wars end, they need to be able to come home and be normal people - my grandfather was a good soldier, but he was not born to be a killer, nor was he trained to be one. He was a radio official - he still took lives on several occasions, and it haunted him forever. I just want our soldiers to know the gravity of claiming another life.
